Promotional author visits Summer 2024
Welcome to Julia Edwards Books!
Every year, Julia offers a limited number of promotional visits and reduced cost workshops to schools around the UK. Following successful visits to Norfolk, Somerset and Yorkshire this spring, she is offering two further weeks of school author visits either side of May half-term: 20 to 24 May 2024 (a perfect post SATs treat!) and 3 to 7 June 2024.
Following a well-established pattern she has used around the UK in the last seven years, Julia is offering:

a one-hour free promotional visit for KS2 (no limit on numbers). This session is a whistle-stop tour through history, introducing Julia's Scar Gatherer series and featuring an abundance of quirky, fascinating and occasionally grisly facts from history. It also gives children a chance to test their historical knowledge in a format that is fun and engaging;

a half day of workshops (which includes the free promotional talk) reduced to £180 (usual rate £240);

a full day of workshops (which includes the free promotional talk) reduced to £305 (usual rate 380).
Each school (including schools who wish to book the promotional visit only) will need to contribute to Julia's accommodation and travel at a flat rate of £80* per school, so that her expenses are covered collectively.
*Schools in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Dorset, Somerset and West Sussex will be charged at a lower rate due to shorter travelling distance for Julia.
